We are a happy and productive lab of evolutionary biologists, who use mainly quantitative tools to address a diverse and interesting set of evolutionary questions. We're based at the University of Freiburg in the beautiful city of Freiburg in southwest Germany.
We use a range of theoretical approaches, including:
evolutionary game theory and simulation modelling to study the evolution of animal behaviour
quantitative genetics, statistics, and causal modelling to understand the causes and consequences of natural selection.
We are particularly interested in sexual selection and the evolution of mating systems, parental care, and fertilisation behaviour.
